CongoSky Coming

Emancipation · the migration arm

Leave the walled gardens.

Bring your whole digital life across from iCloud, Google, or OneDrive — mail, contacts, calendar, photos, files, like for like — with the fewest taps that are honestly possible. And whenever you like, take it all and leave again.

Leaving should be as easy as they made joining.  It never is — by design. We invert that.

What comes across

  • Mail — your messages and folders, faithfully copied.
  • Contacts — names, numbers, emails, photos.
  • Calendar — events, recurrences, reminders.
  • Photos — the originals, with their dates and albums kept as far as the rails allow.

Destination is your choice: congosky.cloud — the de-Googled home the rest of the platform is built on — or Google, fully supported. We meet you where you want to be.

What you pay — and the storage you get

Switching from iCloud, Google Drive, or OneDrive, we offer a like-for-like package at the same price as the rest — no penalty for coming home. So the move is never a downgrade.

Where we're different: on the pay-as-you-grow plan you pay only for the storage you actually use — not for a tier-sized bucket you'll never fill. The bytes you store are the bytes you're billed for. No rounding up to the next plan.

Storage, at the quality you choose

Not all bytes need the same speed. Pick a level of service per need — cold archive that's cheap and patient, up to overkill that's instant and replicated. Mix tiers freely.

  • ColdCheapest, archival. Long-term keep — old photos, finished projects. Retrieval takes a little while; that patience is why it's the cheapest.
  • ThriftCheap, slower. Everyday storage you don't open every hour. A small wait on access for a noticeably smaller bill.
  • StandardBalanced. The sensible default — quick to reach, fairly priced. What most files want.
  • OverkillFastest, replicated. Hot, instant, copied across regions for the things you cannot wait for or afford to lose. As much performance as it's possible to give.

Pay only for what you use, at the quality each file deserves — the opposite of one fat bucket billed whether you fill it or not.

How it works — least interaction, honestly

  • One tap to begin. Pick what to bring and where it lands.
  • Sign in with Apple or Google — on their screen. Your password stays with them. We never see it, never hold it, never scrape behind your back.
  • We carry it across. Copy, map like-for-like, write to the destination, and check every count — all hands-off for you.
  • You confirm before anything old is touched. Copy-then-verify, never move-then-pray. Your source is left intact until you say "looks good."

The honest line, up front. "Least interaction" does not mean "type your password and we'll log in for you." That breaks Apple's and Google's rules, and quietly automating your account is exactly the disrespect we exist to end. We remove every tap the platforms let us remove — and we are truthful about the consent screen they require, which is theirs, not ours.

The door swings both ways

This is what makes it emancipation and not just another switch. You are as free to leave us as you were to leave them.

  • Take it out, any time.Egress everything back to Google, to Apple, or as a plain download — the same rails, run in reverse. No reason required, no maze.
  • Be forgotten.Ask us to erase your account and everything we derived from it, and get a signed receipt that says what was deleted and when.
  • Leave with your things, then erase. We export and verify first, so "forget me" never means "lose it." You leave whole.

Honest about erasure. Live data and everything derived from it go immediately. Immutable backups can't be reached into mid-cycle — they age out on a stated rotation, and that date is on your receipt. We will never claim an "instant total wipe" we can't truthfully deliver.

What we will never do

Never take your password. Never scrape your account behind your back. Never hold your data hostage to keep you. Never sell what we carry, never train a model on it. Never make our own exit harder than the one we helped you take.

A home you are free to walk out of is the only kind worth offering.

Emancipation is on the way to CongoSky. The vision and the honest walls are written down at the spec; the service runs on the platform when it's ready. Part of the family on CongoSky — Khuluma (speak), Lalela (play), Ikhaya (home).
